Fécula de Maíz en Polvo (maicena), se utiliza como harina para hacer pan, pastas, bases de pizza, etc. y como espesante para sopas, chocolate caliente, crema pastelera, helados, entre otros. También tiene usos no culinarios (dar rigidez especialmente a los cuellos de las camisas. También se emplea en la preparación del engrudo, es excelente para combatir rozaduras en la piel)
