I found the process of obtaining a design for a new logo through 99designs an interesting, 21st century kind of way of doing business. From home and from the office I could log on to see at any time, how the competition was going. Getting design concepts from a myriad of designers exposed us to many different concepts. The designers were all courteous, professional, and amazingly prolific and responsive with the designs that they put forward. I only wish I could choose more as there were many fantastic designs and they all put in a massive effort.

The process used by 99designs is very straight forward and easy to follow. I especially like that you can run a blind competition, so that the different designers cannot see each others work. This allows the individual designers creativity and ideas to be shown.

I have a lot of experience with design software and have done design work in the past, and yet there is no way I would spend the time to develop my single idea when I can use 99designs to collaborate with many other designers who will not only do the work for me, but show me many concepts I would have never thought of on my own.
