Ian's Foundation got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
Create a Winning Design for the 10th Annual Ian's Cup Soccer Match
Check out Ian's Foundation's T-shirt contest…
Ian's Cup is an annual soccer match played between two high schools in memory of our son and we sell t-shirts as a major fundraiser each year. Our son attended both schools and played for the high school soccer team before a traumatic brain injury from a skateboarding accident took his life. The fundraiser helps us raise money for scholarships given to a player from each boys and girls team in memory of Ian. The design this year will be need to be able to be placed on three different colored shirts (purple, columbia blue and hunter green) so the design needs to have detail to stand out on these various backgrounds. The Johnson High School colors are columbia blue, navy and silver and Reagan High School colors are green, black and silver. Please try to distribute the colors of each team evenly so it doesn't show bias to one team or the other. The color that represents our foundation is purple. The final design needs to be in ai, illustrator or a similar vector based illustrator art.

What to avoid
No stock imagery... BE CREATIVE!! Don't feel like you have to do a design similar to those shown below, we actually want something different and unique. I have included a photo of the actual trophy that the two schools are competing for and past years t-shirt designs to see what has won in previous years. We changed the name to Ian's Cup a few years ago....it was formerly known as The Fincke Cup. The target audience is mainly teenagers so keep that in mind. Be creative :)
Every design category has flexible pricing for all budgets. T-shirt starts at MX$3,799.

It all began with a design brief.
A quick, interactive guide helped them understand their design style and captured exactly what they needed in their t-shirt.
Designers across the globe delivered design magic.
Ian's Foundation collaborated with designers to refine their ideas
When design entries come in, you can rate them so designers know what you’re looking for in your logo design.
99designs has great collaboration tools so you can pinpoint and capture your ideas
And then… they selected a winner!
This very capable designer helped me take my book design (which Asael himself completed in a contest) and created a book cover which has passed KDP's guidelines.
The lower price of this project is justified by the fact that Asael went the extra mile during the design contest and essentially created a book cover then. This project served to finalize some details.
Along the way, they met lots of talented designers…
We think contests are a super fun way to get design.
