jarredendres got their new t-shirt by running a design contest:
Create a grotesque and spooky "Grimy Ghost!" t-shirt for our found footage collective!
Check out jarredendres's T-shirt contest…
We are "Grimy Ghost!" a found footage collective here to spook your senses! We drudge through the darkest corners of thrift stores and mucky basements to bring bizarre and grotesque bits of VHS history to comedy shows throughout the galaxy! What we are looking for in this shirt is some combination of a ghost (or multiple ghosts), a VHS gravestone, and the words "Grimy Ghost!" preferably on the VHS gravestone. We are open to whatever combination of these elements you've got! We're looking for bizarre and creepy but also an element of campy fun! The font we used for the words "Grimy Ghost!" in our logo are using the font "Grim Ghost" that we found on DaFont but feel free to use any style you like. The shirts themselves will be black and we need the designs to be tri-color for the printer. We are open to any three colors! Just make it spooky and goofy! The basic idea we have is some combination of goofy horror/mystery like the classic Scooby Doo cartoon's opening titles and a bizarre, grotesque, monstrous style. Again, we are not designers so we are open to all sorts of styles. It doesn't have to be gruesome. Want to try our ghost/VHS gravestone/logo combo as a retrofuture BioShock-esque art deco style? Go for it! Want to do a riff on Goya's "Saturn Devouring His Son?" We'd love to see it! Open to plenty!
A ghost (any interpretation of a ghost, can range from the classic bed sheet ghost to a monster dripping in ectoplasm like Slimer from Ghostbusters), a huge VHS tape in place of a gravestone, and the name "Grimy Ghost!" on the gravestone (VHS).
What to avoid
No more than three colors please!
