In a cluttered enviroment of fox designs and with chalenging brief, this was no easy task, but I enjoyed the process just as much as I love the result. Fox in a circle is overused to the bone and it took me quite a while to came up with an authentic, original & beautiful logo that communicates a difficult concept in very simple and loveable design.

Silex translates as flint stone, and name is chosen for its relation to one of the first human tools. In regards to that backstory there is more than meets the eye in this simple design where geometry of a circle and square features a spark in negative space. Icon is paired with customised lettering, and because big portion of app will deal with finnance, company name is designed to look like graph bars.

The app functions as both a social network and business marketing platform. Users order from businesses through the app and have the ability to share their experiences with these businesses and their followers. In addition, businesses can stay involved with the community by sharing their own updates. Combination of location pin, and interconnected people immediately caught my client eye and we only have to fine-tune it. It perfectly capture the essence of this platform and direction they wanted to go in. All in all great cooperation .

Simple and a bit playful, but still dynamic, modern and friendly. I shifted the dot from "I" letter to the right, so it makes a movement which enhance all dynamic look of the name. It illustrates an "outside of the box" thinking. The external letters has a same anatomy to make a balance. Also beginning and the end of the name tells about different thinking ways, but still looking for a general idea.

Our product is a software tool (software as a service) for charter yacht companies. So companies who rent out yachts, most of them are in the mediterranean, Greece, Croatia, Italy, Turkey, Spain, etc. But also some are in the caribbean. Our tool will be their 'life saver', it will help them in all kinds of ways with their operations. It keeps track of bookings (which boats are booked when, which are still available, which ones are out on charter), boats (which boats do they have in their fleet, when are they booked, in which location are they currently), maintenance (tracking and scheduling, as well as getting reports of past maintenance). The name Floatist comes from 'floating', aka being on the water, so in other words we are 'experts in floating'.
