Seekers: The Winds of Change
Troy currently lives in Southern California, where he was born and raised, graduating from Crafton Hills College with an Associate of Science degree, later earning x-ray technologist credentials through Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. Many of the darker themes present in his work are inspired by his experiences with patients as a healthcare worker, especially during the pandemic. When not writing, he's either working at the hospital as an X-Ray technologist or in the classroom as a teacher for his hospital's X-Ray program. His hobbies include video games, anime, and Magic: The Gathering. His passion for storytelling led him to refine his writing skills to do what he loves most: telling stories. This is his debut novel.
Chaotic, relentless winds of change are blowing through the world of Tiarna, tearing through not just the landscape, but the minds of those who inhabit it. Few feel the effects of the gale as much as Tyras and Oren, who find themselves caught in the middle of it's turbulent fury. As two Seekers, artifact-acquiring agents of the mighty Argan Empire, they’ve become accustomed to conflict. Still, nothing could prepare them for the world-changing events about to unfold when one of the empire’s leaders, their own personal master, finds himself at the wrong end of an assassin's bow. Galvanized by the incident, the pair separates in order to uncover the truth behind the terrible act and find the mysterious relic called the Conduit, which is somehow connected to all of it. They’ll be tested at every turn as they navigate the tumultuous paths ahead bursting with danger, treachery, monsters, and romance. A bevy of challenges await them, and sometimes, the greatest obstacles lie not from the secret forces pulling the strings, but from the darkness within their own hearts. A colorful cast filled with old friends and unlikely allies accompany them as they travel across the fierce deserts, sprawling cityscapes, and murky marshlands of this battle-scarred continent. Along the way, they’ll question their ability to succeed and wrestle with the idea of what that even means. The Winds of Change are blowing, and there's no telling where the whirlwind leads!
