Remember. Forget. Remember.
Relentlessly curious human.
My first book of poetry that aims to inspire others to share their imperfect but authentic creations with the world.
Anyone with an interest in short-form poetry.
The title speaks to the idea that we experience moments where we remember our deep connectedness to the world—to a sense of awe and love and wonder—and then inevitably we forget. This cycle is what each of the poems speak to. The opening poem is called 'The Hawk' which could also influence the front cover (although I'm definitely open to other creative inspiration). Hopefully, the language used here should evoke a sense of mood + imagery for the front cover. Above the glowing horizon, A hawk circles above mist soaked trees. His wings are perfectly still, As he leans into the wind. Suspending him above the world. Recall the years you have given, To flailing your wings, Yearning to soar. All that was needed, All that was needed, Was to pay exquisite attention, To those intangible rising currents, And fall into their embrace.
