Author biography
Renee Dugan is an Indiana-based author who grew up reading fantasy books, chasing stray cats, and writing stories full of dashing heroes and evil masterminds. Now with over a decade of professional editing, administrative work, and writing every spare second under her belt, she has authored THE CHAOS CIRCUS, a portal fantasy novel, THE STARCHASER SAGA, an epic high fantasy series, and THE CURSE OF THE BLESSED, a high fantasy trilogy. Living with her husband, son, and not-so-stray cats in the magical Midwest, she continues to explore new worlds and spends her time in this one encouraging and helping other writers on their journey to fulfilling their dreams.

THIS DARK ALLIANCE, first book in The Curse of the Blessed trilogy, tells the story of an assassin sent on his final task, and a grieving heiress willing to risk her reputation and future to bring her father's murderer to justice - the sort of justice only a born killer can carry out.

Imagery styles relevant to the book would include swords/weaponry or sailing motifs. Elegant or grungy fantasy-appropriate fonts are welcome! The dimensions for the cover will be either 8.5 x 5.5 or 6x9. For 8.5 x 5.5, the page count (for spine width) is 273 pages For 6x9, the page count (for spine width) is 232 pages. Deep reds, blacks, and golds are very welcome colors!
What to avoid
I would like to avoid using any models/faces if possible.
