How fboppel started their book cover journey
Your Road to Health - Stairway to Heaven or Highway to Hell, Which Way Are You Heading?
While growing up in Germany Frank developed a persistent health challenge starting in his teen years. Traditional doctors, including specialists and three surgeries were unable to solve the problem. That challenge propelled Frank on a lifelong journey of learning about health and disease. After a successful career as an engineer and a move to the U.S. over 20 years ago, he finally turned his passion into his profession. In this book he is describing how we get dis-ease and how we can get back to health.
I am a so-called "alternative" healthcare practitioner. In reality I relieve stress and virtually all disease stems from unrelieved stress, whether that be physical, mental, or emotional. Throughout my life I have been interested in maintaining my health and understanding why and how people get sick. The book summarizes my knowledge.
Western Medicine actually cannot tell you why you got diabetes, high cholesterol, or cancer. However, the system is trying to monopolize the treatment of the sick and eliminating any alternative practitioners. My goal with the book is to explain people the four causes of disease (nutritional deficiencies, toxins including EMF, trauma, and thoughts/emotions). The commonality of all four is that they take the body out of balance which can be easily shown with a simple muscle test (left side, right side, both on the legs and arms).
In addition to presenting how people got sick I present ways for people to get back on a path to health. I also encourage self-responsibility and trusting oneself more. Nobody has more interest in one's health than oneself. Western Medicine tries to tell people that they have no idea about health because they haven't studied the subject for 10 years or more like their doctor. This has led people to follow their doctor's advice against their own instincts. I am encouraging people to trust themselves and their bodies more. As far as I am concerned nothing happens by accident. The problem is that many people don't see the consequences of their actions until years or even decades later. Then they wonder how they got into this mess. I hope to encourage the reader to love themselves enough to take care of their body and mind so that they can be as healthy as possible for as long as possible.
People interested in well-being without drugs or surgery. I also want to use the book to allow people to understand why I do what I do and how it can help them feel better regardless of their symptoms or diagnosis. Since I work with the emotional aspect of health middle aged women tend to be a primary audience because they care about their own health and that of their families and they understand more than men that your emotional health has a direct impact on your physical health.

What colors do you want to see in your design?
I am fairly open to the designer's suggestions. The obvious theme is that I see health as a choice. It is relatively easy and can be very quick to destroy one's health. The road to health can be long and slow but there is a reward for it. That reward is not just at the end of the journey but actually all along the way as one starts feeling better and having more energy.
What to avoid
I am open to most anything. With the subheader of Stairway to Heaven or Highway to Hell the subject of religion or God may come up. I myself am not particularly religious. However, I do believe in a higher power. The cover shouldn't offend any religious denominations including atheists or agnostics. Other than that I am completely open to the designer's suggestions.
