In The Effective Investor, Mark Lund reveals the big secrets that are killing the return in your portfolio. Most people don’t realize that their investments are tied to a specific belief, they just think they are “investing for retirement.” They don’t realize that there is a difference between investing and gambling in the stock market. In reality, if they understood how the different strategies used for “investing” work, they would realize that in most cases they are actually just gambling for retirement. Thousands of people own mutual funds, yet never learn these secrets. By learning the difference between investing and gambling in the stock market, you will simplify your life and reduce your stress about investing for retirement. If you want to be successful at investing without using speculative methods, then you need to read this book.
Some of the questions answered are:
How do I choose the right advisor to work with?
What kind of stocks will give me the best returns?
Where do the biggest returns come from when investing?
When should I be in or out of the stock market?
Am I paying too much for my investments?
Are annuities good or bad?
What should I know about my 401(k) and IRAs?
It’s easy to get opinions on questions of this type. It’s hard to get facts. In The Effective Investor, Mark Lund answers questions of this kind. The answers are based on results that can be measured. This is the book your current financial advisor hopes you never read.
Prospective clients. Those looking for an investment advisor to work with. Someone who is wanting to save for retirement, someone who is retired or getting close to retirement, or someone who has inherited money to invest.
